The December TecSocial is the final installment of our three part "Ideas Series".  In the series opener in October we explored "Getting a Great Idea", in November we examined "Building an Idea" , and now we'll talk about "Bringing it to Market".  For each part of the series an experienced panel has been assembled to share their experiences and allow us to dive deep into their knowledge base.Cape Breton County Economic Development Authority

If you missed Part 2 an audio podcast is available here.

In our past sessions we got a great understanding of where great ideas come from and how we develop the idea into a product or even a business.  So the next logical question is:  How do you sell it?  Our panel will share how they take those "little piggies to market".  We'll talk about various aspects of selling including:  what's important to know and what's not so important, understanding the customer, knowing your value proposition, knowing your unique selling proposition, the importance of the right price, what's different from product vs. service, where does cloud based software fit? Our panel has truly been there and done it, they've sold a wide variety of products and services and have agreed to share some of their wisdom and secrets to their success.

Our panel for December - Bringing it to Market, includes the following people:

Laird Wilton - Marcato Digital Solutions Inc. - Born and raised in Glace Bay, Laird is currently Vice President of Sales at Marcato Digital Solutions. He is a proud Cape Bretoner that will tell anyone that asks (or doesn’t ask for that matter) that he truly believes he’s living a charmed life here with his wife, 3 kids and family.

Richard Lorway - MediaSpark Inc. - Richard has experiences in the trenches of the entertainment, software development, and multimedia industries in the areas of television production and business development.  He is known for his strengths in project management, content development, strategic and tactical marketing, writing, and communications skills.
