Join us at the May TecSocial to learn about new technology startup and Spark Cape Breton winner Artisync Technologies.

Rob Parsons and Darrell Cormier, co-founders of Artisync, will tell the story behind the new venture.  In a nutshell, they are developing a cloud based collaborative hub for the comic book and graphic novel industry that will allow artists to meet, network and communicate with the goal of creating and developing projects as well as matching them with publishers, distributors and end buyers.

Rob has been involved in the graphic design and web development industries for almost 20 years.  He is a McKenzie College Multimedia Technology grad (1996). Most recently he has been working in the education field with the primary focus on curriculum development and instruction of user interface design, branding, graphic design and website development.

Darrell studied computer programming at NSCC Lawrencetown (COGS) in the early 90s.  Since that time his primary focus has been on back-end programming as well as the construction and maintenance of large servers, primarily web-servers.  he has experience in a wide variety of languages and is particularly proficient in server-side scripting.

TecSocial is a monthly meeting for those with an interest in technology and entrepreneurship. It is a free event and is open to the public. A cash bar will be available and door prizes and appetizers (limited quantities) are compliments of our partners, Innovacorp and Membertou Trade & Convention Centre.
