October 4, 2012: Co-founders of GoInstant

Co-founders of GoInstant

Thursday, October 4, 2012
6:45pm - 8:30pm
MacAulay Conference Centre, Inverary Resort, Baddeck, NS

The October TecSocial moves to Baddeck to run concurrently with the Cape Breton Partnership Investor Summit and AGM.

Our guests this month are the four co-founders of GoInstant who will participate in an open discussion on their dynamic business success. In July, American-based tech giant Salesforce.com purchased GoInstant for a reported $70 million. Of the four founders, Gavin Uhma and Kirk MacPhee are graduates of the technology program at Cape Breton University. Another company founder Dave Kim relocated to Cape Breton and began working with Uhma and MacPhee at TechLink Entertainment as well as their own startup Lightning Creative. Jevon MacDonald met the remaining founders at TecSocial in September 2010 where he was speaking on the topic of "How Start-ups Will Save Canada".  The rest, as they say, is history...

Our GoInstant panel will be interviewed by former CBC Information Morning host, Ian McNeil of Ian MacNeil Real Media.

TecSocial is a monthly meeting for those with an interest in technology and entrepreneurship. The October TecSocial is a dinner event.  To purchase a ticket for the event visit here.  To view the complete itinerary for the Cape Breton Partnership Investor Summit visit here.
